LinkedIn Learning at NSCC: Getting Started

A gateway and guide to LinkedIn Learning videos, resources and help.

What is LinkedIn Learning?

LinkedIn Learning offers expert led, online courses and video tutorials.

About LinkedIn Learning:

  • Courses are for faculty, staff, and students looking to develop skills
  • Courses are available for all skill levels 
  • You can access LinkedIn Learning from your laptop, tablet and mobile device
  • Covers topics such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, project management, time management, and much more
  • LinkedIn Learning can supplement course work

What you can do in LinkedIn Learning:

  • Download exercise files and practice as you go
  • Save your favorite courses and materials for future use
  • Create Collections
  • Earn a certificate of completion when you have viewed all the videos in a course
Please note: as with all electronic collections, content may change periodically in the LinkedIn Learning Library.

Access via Office 365

From your NSCC Office 365 account, select the LinkedIn Learning icon from the Office 365 Apps list.  If you don't see the LinkedIn Learning Icon, click Explore all your Apps, scroll down to LinkedIn Learning Icon.

Login to the LinkedIn Learning App

  1. Select Continue without LinkedIn
  2. Login with your NSCC email and password. For example: w0123456@campus.nscc.ca

Access via LinkedIn

  1. Go to LinkedIn Learning
  2. Select Sign In
  3. Sign in using your NSCC email eg. jane.doe@nscc.ca
  4. Select "Recommended for Nova Scotia Community College"

Mobile Access

Apple iOS

  1. Download the app from the App Store - search for Linkedin Learning; it should be your first choice.
  2. Open the app
  3. Select Sign in with your Organizational Portal
  4. Enter "nscc.ca"
  5. Enter your NSCC username and password
  6. On the Welcome Page
    1. select continue without LinkedIn
    2. or connect with a LinkedIn Account
  7. Confirm that you want to continue without a LinkedIn account
  8. Add skill areas that interest you (You must add at least one area)

You can also access Linkedin Learning on Apple TV.  For further information, visit the Apple TV App page.

Android devices

  1. Download the app from the Google Play or Amazon Appstore - search for Linkedin Learning; it should be your first choice.
  2. Open the app and select "Already a member?"
  3. At the top of the screen, select "Organization".
  4. Under "Web Portal", enter nscc.ca .
  5. Tap "Done" .
  6. Enter your NSCC username and password.
  7. Tap "Sign In".
  8. Accept the Linkedin Learning Terms of Service.
