Resources for Writing and Language

Need help with your Writing Skills? Need help with the English language?

For students needing help with writing, visit our Writing Guide for writing-specific support, including organization strategies, vocabulary development, and strategies to improve writing.

Additionally, for students whom English is an additional language, we have our EAL Supports Guide to help people with resources, strategies, and practice activities in the English language skills.

NSCC Writing Centres are available at 5 locations. Visit one of our locations where volunteers will help you to:

  • Plan and strategize for your assignments
  • Understand your individual writing needs
  • Edit your writing
  • Access helpful resources
  • Feel more confident about your writing skills

Writing Centre drop-in hours are posted on NSCC's intranet.
