Additional Resources for Success

Do you need additional support beyond the Writing Centre?  Talk to your Student Services and/or Faculty Advisor.

If you are a student with a disability related to writing, your Student Services Advisor can refer you to the Learning Strategist on your campus. A Learning Strategist can help you:

  • request academic accommodations
  • apply for disability-related funding
  • explore new learning resources and strategies
  • use assistive technology
  • practice self-advocacy skills

You can also visit NSCC Disability Services here.

There are many apps available to use on your electronic device of choice.  Because there are so many, it is important for you to search for and find apps you like the best/are the most helpful for you.

For example, there are apps for:

  • Grammar
  • Spelling / Spell-check
  • Dictionaries
  • Thesauri
  • English language learning... and more!

Check out the Android, Blackberry, and iPhone apps available to you.  Extra support can be at your finger tips!
