Accessibility and NSCC Libraries

This guide provides an overview of how NSCC Libraries provide accessible library services and resources to NSCC students and employees.

What is NNELS?

NNELS stands for the National Network for Equitable Library Service. NNELS provides published books in a variety of accessible formats in Canada for people with print disabilities.

Books can be downloaded in multiple formats (i.e. DAISY 2 and 3, MP3, e-text, EPUB 2 and 3, PDF, BRF, and audio).

How to Access NNELS

  • You need to be registered with NSCC Libraries in order to access NNELS' resources. After you’re registered, you can log into your NNELS account and start searching and downloading resources from the NNELS catalogue.

  • Library staff are happy to assist you with searching and downloading resources.

NOTE: The barcode number on your current NSCC picture ID or NSCC Novanet Borrower’s Card is your login. The password is the last four digits of the phone number you provided at the time of library registration
