Sexuality is sexual feelings or behaviour, including sexual orientation or desire.

Being attracted to only people of the same sex means you are homosexual. Being attracted to both men and women means you are bisexual or Bi. If you like people of any type of gender, you may identify as pansexual or Pan. The word Queer has been used as a slur against Gay people. Some members of the community have reclaimed it and use it amongst themselves.

In Canada, it used to be illegal to have sex with people of the same sex as you and it is still illegal in some countries. Gay people are sometimes discriminated against, but Canada has laws to protect against discrimination.
