Text-to-Speech on Android
Android phones have built in Accessibility features which can help make your phone more user-friendly! To view and enable these features, follow these steps:
- Go to the "Settings Application".
- Under "General", tap "Accessibility".
- Enable "Select to Speak".
Text-to-Speech on iOS
Apple devices have accessibility features built within. To enable text-to-speech on your iOS device, follow these steps:
- Go to the "Settings Application".
- Tap "Accessibility".
- Tap "Spoken Content".
- Enable "Speak selection" or "Speak Screen".
- "Speak Selection" will allow the phone to speak aloud any text you highlight.
- "Speak Screen" will read the entire screen if you swipe from with 2 fingers.
You can also edit the settings to best suit you (changing the speed, voice, accents, etc.).
