A journal is a collection of articles that is published throughout the year and often present the most recent research. They may be published in print or online formats, or both.

There are several ways to locate journals:

Peer-reviewed articles have an editorial board of subject experts who review and evaluate the article. A journal may be a scholarly journal but not a peer-reviewed journal.

If you are searching for scholarly or peer-reviewed articles in a NSCC database, you may be able to limit your results to peer-reviewed articles. You can also evaluate your sources to ensure they are peer-reviewed

Databases are collections of trustworthy research sources, such as journal articles, books, conference papers, and reports. Most databases offer tools to search by keywords, dates, authors, or topics, making it easier to locate specific and relevant materials.
