Creative Commons (CC) Licenses

An alternative to the traditional all-rights reserved model of licensing.

CC helps creators attach a more open copyright license to their content with sharing models to choose from.

CC is sometimes referred to as the Some Rights Reserved model.

CC provides an alternative to the traditional "all rights reserved" approach to copyright ownership, where the creator sells their work and requires permission for copying and use outside of purchasing.

CC licenses explicitly identify what can and can not be done with the content and under what conditions.

The most open license makes the content free and allows modification and adaption with only one condition; that attribution to the original creator be included.
