You found your content on a website uploaded without your permission!
This infringes your copyright ... what can you do?

All websites in the U.S. and Canada are required to have a method for copyright owners to request that their content be removed.​

The takedown request requirement is specified in Canada’s Copyright Act and in the Digital Millennium Copyright Act in the United States.​

• Some websites have an online form that can be completed.​
• You always have the option of submitting your takedown request via email.​
• NSCC has email templates to help you compose email takedown requests.​
• An email submission provides a more efficient method to submit multiple title takedown requests.
