Goal 2, Zero Hunger, aims to end hunger and all forms of malnutrition by 2030. In Canada, food insecurity continues to affect our citizens and increasingly so, our students. In the fall of 2021, food insecurity affected 56.8% of post-secondary students in Canada

NSCC and Goal 2

Examples of NSCC initiatives that are helping to advance Goal 2: Zero Hunger.
Meal-it-Forward Project Enactus students at Marconi Campus have created the Meal-it-Forward Project, donating grocery store gift cards to students facing food insecurity.
Student Pantry All NSCC Campuses have a Student Pantry providing food for students experiencing food insecurity.
Sustainable Agriculture The NSCC Applied Environment and Agriculture Technology Research Lab (EATLab) seeks sustainable agriculture solutions to industry challenges.
