Examples of NSCC initiatives that are helping to advance Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation.
Water Resources Program |
The Environmental Engineering Technology - Water Resources program is focused on preparing graduates to analyze and evaluate water resources. Graduates from this program may go on to work in land management, wastewater treatment or environmental monitoring. |
Hydration Stations | Every NSCC campus has hydration stations to provide clean, high-quality drinking water without single-use plastic bottles. Using hydration stations is one of six easy habits for sustainable living. |
NSCC Shelburne Campus Community Well Project |
NSCC is partnering with the Shelburne community to tap an unused well at the NSCC Shelburne Campus. Shelburne residents have historically experienced challenges accessing clean drinking water. |
