Sustainable Development Goals at NSCC: The SDGs and NSCC

CICan 2023 Student Art Showcase

Calling all NSCC student artists! Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) is inviting students to submit their artwork to their Student Art Contest. The theme is the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals!

There are 5 categories:

  • Photography
  • Painting
  • Drawing
  • Textile, mixed media, sculpture or printmaking
  • Digital illustration or animation

The winners in each category will receive a cash prize of $500 and have their artwork displayed at CICan's national headquarters in Ottawa.

If you're interested in participating, you can find more details about the contest and how to submit your artwork at CICan 2023 Art Showcase. The deadline is March 31, 2023.

The SDG Accord

In January 2021, Nova Scotia Community College was one of the first post-secondary institutions in Canada to sign the SDG Accord, the university and college sector's collective response to the global goals.
